Keep in mind the focus for this site. This is a site for people who have numerous mental issues, and some people have also experienced some really nasty abuse. If they're really gonna open up, then it makes sense to try to keep the forums as utterly pristine as possible to make people as comfortable and as professional as possible, much like how a therapist's office is very comfortably neutral. The Sanctuary forums, by contrast, are designed and geared towards practicality, extremely open discussion, and raw humanity.
