  • @ CharlieTheStooge:
As far as I tell when Nintendo tried to twist the arm of GitLab they just quietly disappeared the repository of Suyu into the abyss and acted very cagey about who exactly sent the notice and the claims contained within. And I think someone from Suyu said they had not even seen the original notice sent to GitLab.
  • @ CharlieTheStooge:
Kind of funny to me because I think GitLab was started by Russians but later moved to the USA. But it probably has something to do with the business side of things.

So weird. GitLab was supposed to be the LESS overbearing solution of the two. Way to just blow up any trust people had in them.
  • @ CharlieTheStooge:
@Arnox You might laugh at this. Checked the old Yuzu domain and as far as I can tell Nintendo has not tried to setup the telemetry server again.
  • @ CharlieTheStooge:
(Yes I know forks and other builds without telemetry exist. But I would not feel sorry if Nintendo setup a telemetry server and 'someone' fed it absolutely useless garbage.)

That would be funny, though I don't think Nintendo's lawyers care enough to actually do anything more than send pushy DMCA notices to creators they don't like. Maybe actually launch a lawsuit if the creator is big enough.

Black spider crawls on you - what do?

    I monkey and smash
  • @ Vendor-Lazarus:
In my younger days, I would have flipped out as well. Now I'd just ease it onto another material and drop it out the window.
  • @ Houseman:
    I wildly fling it off

The ass creed rumours were right. Female ninja, black samurai. We finally get an ass creed set in japan and its going to suck
  • @ gaijinkaiju:
its not even going to have the good gameplay either, it'll be that stupid rpg shit
  • @ Arnox:
    For fuck's sake.
  • @ Gauche:
Open world Tenchu doesn't seem appealing
  • @ Gauche:
Capcom at it again - releasing another humble bundle I'd buy immediately - https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1686142509972377600/pu/vid/1280x720/Tty-sNWHJB-xYYuX.mp4 - everyone blames this incident, there is no confirmation, and there is no consolidated list of games they added enigma drm to - Wish they'd backtrack that shit like the Helldivers PSN drama
  • @ Gauche:
It was even considerate of them to make the newer title I don't own in the first tier and older title that I do own in the latter - fuck

The black dude is historically accurate, that's about it. He was not a samurai or some crazy fighter he was just some dude, probably a slave, that was made a retainer because the daimyo Nobunaga took a liking to him because he had never seen a black man and found him interesting. He also gave him that name Yasuke.
  • @ gaijinkaiju:
He is indeed a person who exisited. After Oda's death he basically disappears from the history record, and even before that we know pretty much nothing about him aside from the fact a missionary brought him along and Oda took a fascination with him. But he was never a "samurai", he was a retainer and atmost a sword bearer. He may have been given an honorary title of tile of "samurai", but he was never a fully fledged samurai. Also, lol, his wikipedia page is edit protected
  • @ Arnox:
I mean, hasn't ass creed always played it fast and loose with history when it comes to its protagonists? In fact, Ass Creed 1 may be the only one that was actually devoted to a decent measure of historical accuracy, with 2 not far behind, but still behind.
  • @ Battousai:
Its more like they adapt history to suit the needs of their whole templar vs assassin war over history, but at this point after so many games there is hardly any coherency at all on that overarching plot line.
